Hello there...half way through March already and so grateful for our indoor training facilities, the wet windy weather meant that had we not had it we would have cancelled training classes for around 3 months. The last couple of weeks have raised our spirits, the field is drying up and we have had some lovely sunny sessions outside.

Feeling very settled now at GHS, new signs installed at the main entrance....

I recently spent four days at Crufts, mainly working on The Guild of Dog Trainers stand where I thoroughly enjoyed being with fellow members. meeting and talking to the general public and we also signed on some new members. I spent a couple of hours on the Friday with fellow trainer Colin Spender on the Dogs Monthly stand giving free training advice. During the four days I managed to visit most of the trade stands and watched some great demonstrations and competitions. Crufts is so immense that you would be hard pushed to see everything in one day. I was thrilled to be presented with a lovely GSD Statue as a thank you for my dedication to the guild as editor.

While I was away I left my class clients in the capable hands of Rachel, Ellen and Hannah. So glad to have them on board, such a huge support and full of fresh ideas. Thank you Girls. I have primarily run SIT Dog Training on my own for the last seven years, however I would like to thank Melissa who has helped me in the past and endured my mentoring. She is taking a little break right now and is getting married to Barry in June. Congratulations to both of you.

Happy Birthday to our dog Malic (paddy de espinavessa) 8 years on St Patrick’s day. Our GSD Kia will be 1 year old on the 31st March, where does time go? Kia has become a valuable asset in puppy class, helping them to settle in and demonstrating her skills.

Britsh Summertime Begins

Clocks go forward one hour on Sunday March 30th (Mothering Sunday) which means Wednesday evening agility training will soon be able to move outside.

Easter Training

Sue will be taking a much needed break.

All classes will run as normal in the capable hands of Rachel, Hannah & Ellen.

I will let all class attendees have their contact details shortly.

Last year we attended events with our agility equipment and also hosted a wonderful weekend with Dima Yeremenko and the mayflower sanctuary dog show. The canine first aid workshop was a great success and we are planning to run another one this year. Onwards and upwards.
